automated vacuum cleaner and Mop Combos
The Narwal Freo X Ultra is one of the best robot vacuums and mops I've ever tested. Its base station comes with a large dustbin and water tank and its dual rubber brushes are less susceptible to hair tangles than single bristles.
Its mopping efficiency is impressive and its AI mapping is excellent at avoiding obstacles. It also has the capability to stop its cleaning task and resume it where it began.
1. Roomba Combo j9+
The Roomba Combo j9+ is one of the most sophisticated 2-in-1 robot vacuums and mop cleaners available today. It features an elegant, self-emptying Clean Base that can store up to two mopping cycles. It's designed to look and feel like a desk. It's also the only robotic mop we've tested with a built-in water reservoir that automatically cleans and refills the cleaning pads after each vacuuming and mopping cycle.
The mopping arm is placed unobtrusively at the top of the unit. It lowers when it spots hard surfaces, and then begins to scrub. It moves slowly over surfaces to avoid spreading wet or muddy spills on carpeted areas. It does a good job of staying clear of the path of cords, furniture, and other obstacles.
It's more intelligent than other robot vacs, too thanks to the iRobot Home app, which allows you to modify the settings of your cleaner, prioritize rooms by dirtiness setting cleaning schedules and times, and more. The app provides you with detailed maps of your home, seasonal suggestions, customized cleaning routines, as well as a variety of smart home integrations that are easy to use.
The iRobot robot vac/mop utilizes the Imprint Smart Mapping Technology to detect objects like sofas, tables and counters. It can be controlled by Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri which makes it easy to keep your home clean.
Contrary to other mopping and vacuum robots that are available, the Roomba J9+ is able to create an entire map of your home 7x faster than previous models and also labels each space by floor type, making sure that it will always remember to mop or vacuum the area you want. It also features a new Turbo Mode which boosts suction power for tough areas. In addition, with iRobot's Dirt detective, it can detect your cleaning habits and preferences, allowing it to automatically adjust cleaning priorities and settings, such as mop scrubbing movements, for the dirtiest parts of your home.
2. Yeedi M12 Pro+
The Yeedi M12 Pro+, with its user-friendly app and features that are premium, is a strong competitor in the world automatic vacuum and mop robots. Its suction power is powerful and advanced mopping technology make it the ideal cleaning partner for smart homes. Its affordable price and smart automation also make it an ideal option for households on a budget.
Download and open the Yeedi App and follow the instructions on the screen to connect the M12 to your Wi-Fi network. Once connected the app will ask you to choose a unique name for your new robot. The M12 only supports 2.4GHz networks.
The M12 provides a variety of cleaning options for mopping and vacuuming. Its intelligent design allows the M12 to identify a space within six minutes and adjusts its cleaning route accordingly. Its advanced mopping features include dual spinning pads, as well as electronically controlled water, as well as a "True Edge" Adaptive Edge Mopping System that ensures thorough cleaning of all edges.
Navigation-wise, the M12 utilizes LiDAR and IR to avoid obstacles. Its sensors do an excellent job of detecting larger items like HVAC vents and furniture. However, they can struggle with smaller objects like cables and rags that are small, which can cause the robot to miss areas.
The M12 can also detect and navigate stairs thanks to its built-in inclinometer. It can also automatically return to its OMNI station to dry and wash its mop brushes, and then refill its water tanks. When the batteries are exhausted the OMNI Station can even clean itself and empty the dust bin when its batteries are low.
3. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra is the bleeding edge in robot cleaning, packing an amazing number of features into an attractive package. It comes with the largest mopping capacity, a camera for enhanced obstacle avoidance, and a powerful vacuum that has the ability to detect the carpet it is stepping on. It also includes advanced technology and voice assistant capabilities.
It is a great mop and vacuum, completing our 1,500 square foot test area in a mere 101 minutes before running out of battery and returning to its dock. Its mop cleans itself between uses, which reduces maintenance costs and helps keep the pads clean. In addition, there is a dock sensor that senses the moment that the mop's pad gets dirty and prompts the washing cycle to keep it clean.
Like its predecessors as well, the S8 MaxV Ultra features an intelligent system that can recognize household objects including shoes and pet waste using a camera + LIDAR combination. It was a great performer in our test of obstacle avoidance with just one minor glitch in my testing (it was stuck when unwinding a ball of wool that was tangled up around its brush arm).
The S8 MaxV Ultra has a new suction capacity of 10,000pa, which is nearly twice as powerful as its predecessor. This makes it a good choice for homes with lots of carpeting and a variety of flooring types. The vacuum can also be set to automatically increase suction when it's moving dirt or crumbs.
As with previous models, there are multiple docking stations that can be installed in various rooms to automate the process of cleaning and mopping. The docking station can be connected to your home plumbing system and will drain and replenish the water tank after you're done.

After each cleaning session, the dirty water tank will also be emptied automatically.
It has advanced options to customize the cleaning schedule. For instance you can select the exact start and end time for each cycle or whether it should vacuum carpets first before mopping. It is also able to be instructed to clean areas that are particularly filthy and choose to boost the suction power around litter boxes for cats as well as pet food bowls. The X40 Ultra can be programmed to perform specific tasks upon demand for example, cleaning the bathroom sink or kitchen sink. The X40 Ultra has a simple intuitive application that comes with various features. It is easy to use and set up. It is quieter than many corded vacuums, with only occasional low hums from its motor and a burst of suction when cleaning. Its navigation system is impressive using an image camera with 3D-structured light and multiple lasers to detect and avoid obstacles. this assists the X40 Ultra achieve one of the top scores for obstacle avoidance in our tests.
5. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is an amazingly powerful vacuum and mop combo that has been designed to be user-friendly. Its gunmetal-colored base station is self-emptying and fills its own tank with clean water. It automatically empties the dust bin into a smaller one it washes and dry its own mop pad between cleaning sessions. It comes with advanced features that let it switch between carpets and hard surfaces, and remove pet hair from carpets and clean high-level thresholds in rooms.
The S1 Pro has excellent navigation and mapping thanks to the internal dToF system. It can keep the appearance of a low-profile, while offering top-notch detection of objects. It can be driven close to walls without crashing and avoids steps, and also automatically raises its mop when driving over rugs and short-pile carpets. It had a difficult time when it came across carpets with longer piles as well as there were a few large, thick mess of dried-on debris.

Like all robots that are available, the S1 Pro comes ready to take off from the box, and requires only a quick initial mapping run to learn its way around your home. The map will then be displayed in the app and you can add or merge rooms as necessary. You can also set virtual boundaries and no-go zones or no-mop zones in case there's something you don't want your robot to touch.
The S1 Pro does a great job of cleaning up spills from hard floors due to its rotary mop head that exerts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability to mop and vacuum makes it a great option for homes with both types of flooring. However, its reliance on Eufy cleaning products (which are included in the box) makes it less adaptable than other robots which permit you to include your own cleaning products.
